Our Educational Tour to visit the Rizal Statues

KNIGHTS OF RIZAL CAGAYAN DE ORO CHAPTER - Rizal Statues educational Tour in Misamis Oriental

For me, Sir Dieter Sokoll, began the day very early with a beautiful sunrise over the mountains in the east of Cagayan de Oro. So early, because I wanted to have a coffee before someone had to bring me to the meeting point at the Golden Stallion Suites in Nazareth. The problem with me, if I don’t have my early coffee, I can be quite grumpy the whole day.

At the lounge at the Golden Stallion Suites the van for us with driver was already waiting. Out chapter commander brought our new t-shirts. Some more coffee and we were ready to hit the road.

We were heading in the eastern direction and the next town was Opol. Here we got already our first shock, as we saw the pool shape of their Rizal statue. So, went on up to the last town of the province of Misamis Oriental. By that time it was already around 11 am. Before we reached the town of Lugait, we had found a place for merienda.

By now we had visited the towns of Opol, the city of El Salvador, and the towns of Alubijid, Laguindingan, Gigagum, Libertad, Initao, Naawan, Manticao, and Lugait.

After posing for the pictures with the Dr. Jose Rizal statue in Laguit we changed the attaire from uniform A (barong) to uniform D (our new t-shirts).

We had some bibingka and drinks at the roadside.

Now comes the long trip back to Cagayan de Oro City. There we want to have our lunch.

We had decided for a fish restaurant for this time.

With everybody hat his stomach filled, the trip contiunes in the eastnortheast direction and the first town here to visit is Tagoloan. Followed by Villanueva and Jasaan.

Jasaan is the hometown of our chapter commander and we had to visit his favorite halo-halo place in town.

From Jasaan we drive through to the little town of Lagonglong. After doing our documentation and picture taking, we are heading back to the large town of Balingasag.

The day before Gaisano has opened its doors to the public and once already here, we wanted to see it.

So, after finding hardly a parking space for the van, we went inside. Here was it noisy and cramped with people. We had our own opening and graced the C.R (toilett) our way, and got out of there. But before that, the boys hat to smoke outside at the parking lot and got caught and got a dressing-down from security hahahaha!

Back to Cagayan de Oro City and in mind to had a job well done.

‘Eat-all-you-can’ at a restraurant in Gaisano Mall was the end of our educational tour.

I guess, we had a good time and day.
